A tribute to the music from one of the bands we grew up with, once called ‘the best band in the world’, The Nightburners present Soulshine, the music of the Allman Brothers. Their body of music is astounding and stellar, so we’ve put together a show to celebrate it. From their early tunes with Duane, to their later songs with Warren Haynes, we take a trip through their repertoire of classic and beloved numbers, some that were hits on the charts, others that were just great songs that everyone knows!!! Come out and celebrate with us, and sing along to all the classics…with the amazing Jay Kornick on Slide, and the electrifying Vic Perrino on Guitar, and joined by Dave Swanson with gifted vocals and skillful percussion, and of course the outstanding rhythm section of Tony Root and Peter Kruse, and rounded out by exquisite dexterity on keyboards, our own Bill LeClair, and me, Kevin Purcell on Vocals and Harmonica…suffice it to say you will not see a show like this around the area….a toast…to the brothers of the road!!!!

Some of Chicago’s finest veteran musicians assemble their talents to dedicate special shows to the music of the Allman Brothers. After years of playing in some of the areas biggest bands, these award-winning musicians gather to spotlight the music of Greg and Duane Allman, playing all of the favorites while putting new spins on other songs, as well as performing some of the songs that Duane played on before he joined the Allman Brothers.
